Happy National Left-Hander's Day!! Since there are varying degrees of right or left handedness, we're about to take a short test to see where you fit on the scale. But first, here are a few little-known facts about lefties.

1. Good news, lefters! In a survey of more than 1.4 million participants, researchers found that left-handed people had a lower risk of arthritis and ulcers.

2. Lefties tend to find advantages and be drawn to careers in the arts, music, and sports. But that may also add up to lower paychecks: left-handers’ salaries are 10 percent lower on average than right-handers.

3. While about 10% of the human population is left-handed, 40% of cats are southpaws and dogs are split evenly at 50/50.

So, just how left-handed are you?
