The National Weather Service in Huntsville will be dispatching two teams to conduct preliminary Surveys on damage that occurred with the storms that moved through North Alabama Monday night.

One survey team will be headed to Limestone County. While a second team will survey damage across Lincoln County.

The National Weather Service states:

"We want to strongly emphasize that our primary mission is the protection of Life and Property.  With the Region under a slight to moderate risk of severe weather today, our primary focus will be severe weather operations here at the National Weather Service."

The statement goes on to say that additional teams will be dispatched later in the week as weather condition and resources permit.
