According to new study, you can’t be “fat but fit.”

Medical scientists from the University of Birmingham have discovered that obese people who are otherwise medically healthy remain at greater risk of developing heart disease, strokes and heart failure than people of normal weight.

They warn that this idea of being fat but fit is especially dangerous because it reduces the urgency many people have in their efforts to lose weight, which would end up reducing the chances of developing dangerous health problems. (The Guardian)
