Name the new baseball team and win!

They broke ground just this last weekend for the new baseball stadium in Madison.

While the team will play their games at the $46 million stadium, the venue will actually be a multi-use stadium known as Town Madison.

The baseball team will, however, be funded by the city of Madison and right now, the team is holding a contest to come up with a nickname.

Madison Mayor Paul Finley said. "In the contract, we negotiated 'Madison.' (to be included in the name) But we also are smart enough to realize that it's a community team and if they come up with a name that makes the most sense, we won't have any problems supporting that."

The suggestion box is open now and they are reportedly seeing a new submission every 64 seconds.

Whoever wins will receive season tickets for the first 5 seasons, a team jersey and an opportunity to throw out a first pitch during the 2020 season!

Finley visited the studio this morning to talk about some of the exciting prospects.
