The 37th annual Limestone County Sheriff's Rodeo will be May 17th & 18th at the Limestone Sheriff's Arena on Highway 99 in Athens. The Rodeo will take place Friday and Saturday night at 8pm with gates opening at 6pm.

Saturday, May 11th - Rodeo Parade

10:00 a.m. Rodeo Parade line up at the Sheriff’s Rodeo Arena.

11:00am Sheriff Blakely and Grand Marshal Stanley McNatt will lead the 37th Annual Rodeo Parade, featuring Queen Contestants, & Cowgirls and Cowboys of all ages on horseback along with many buggies & wagons

Monday, May 13th - Preston’s Western & Outdoor Wear Rodeo Kickoff

5:00 p.m. Preston’s Western & Outdoor Wear

Highway 72 East in Athens, AL

Kid’s Day, Horseback Rides

All Free Fun

Tuesday, May 14th - Street Dance/Western Fashion Show

6:00 p.m. Street Dance/Western Fashion Show on the East side of the Limestone County Courthouse Square. Music provided by the “Jeff Whitlow Country” band.

- Fashion Show starts at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, May 16th - Slack

9:00 a.m. All team roping contestants will compete during the designated slack on this date. Area elementary schools will reward their “Leader In Me” and “Reading Initiative” participants with a field day to watch Slack for free as guests of Sheriff Blakely.

Gates open at 8:00 a.m.

Friday, May 17th

10:00 a.m. - 1p.m. Special Needs Rodeo for individuals with special needs at the Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo Arena

6:00 p.m. Gates Open for Rodeo

7:00 p.m. Kids Gold Rush - Entertainment

8:00 p.m. Rodeo

Saturday, May 18th

12:00 p.m. Miss Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo Queen Contestants Luncheon at Limestone Event Center, 114 W. Pryor St., Athens, AL. The Miss Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo Queen Contestants will model, answer impromptu questions and present a 2-3 minute speech. Tickets will be sold by the Rodeo Queen Pageant Committee (Tickets are limited)
