In a recent interview with Cody Alan, the “Whiskey Glasses” singer revealed that he was a classically trained violinist. Are you as shocked as we were?

“I don’t understand it either buddy,” laughs Morgan. “My mom said when I was five years old, I wanted a violin for Christmas.”

“When I was a little kid, I really liked bluegrass,” Morgan continued. “So, I think that might have been why. I didn’t even end up playing the fiddle; I ended up learning classical violin.”

Can Morgan play one today? “I could probably hack around on it,” he shared.

“Oh, good! Bring in the violin!” Cody animatedly shouted to the CMT Radio team. “We keep one under my desk.” Morgan’s face widened. “I’m just kidding.”

“Oh Good, cause my heart just sunk,” laughed Morgan.

Morgan is raising a toast to his back-to-back No. 1 singles, “Up Down” and “Whiskey Glasses” by switching gears with the release of an emotionally weighty single, “Chasin’ You.”
