Dust off your boots… Blake Shelton dropped a new single to kick off the weekend — and it’s worthy of a mullet comeback. Shelton brought back his throwback hairstyle to mark the release of “No Body” on Friday (August 19). The country music giant expertly captures a ‘90s country sound with the single that he’s been teasing on his social media channels throughout the week.

“This song takes me back to the ‘90s when I was in high school and first moved to Nashville because it feels like what the music sounded like at that time,” Shelton shared in a tweet on Friday. His latest music video is the epitome of neon lights, honky tonks and purely country music as a crowd of bar goers donning cowboy hats and boots dance to Shelton’s latest song. Shelton proved that he was just as excited as his fans to hear his new song on the radio on Friday.

Shelton’s fans have eagerly awaited the Voice coach’s new music since he released his Body Language deluxe album last year. That 16-track edition included fan-favorites like Shelton’s smash-hit single “Come Back As A Country Boy,” along with “Minimum Wage,” “Happy Anywhere” (a duet with his wife and fellow superstar artist Gwen Stefani) and the romantic “We Can Reach The Stars,” Shelton’s wedding tribute to Stefani. He also released an acoustic version of “Austin,” one of his earliest hits and one of 10 tracks included on the country artist’s first album in 2001.
