At around 4:20 this morning (Thursday) a 911 call came in about Juli Glisson having suicidal throughs at a boat ramp. The call was from one of Glisson's relatives.
The car was at the edge of the water.
For about 10 minutes, Mumaw and another officer tired to talk her out of the car. Around 4:35, the car rolled down the ramp into the water of the Cumberland river.
Both officers went into the water, Mumaw slipped and went missing in the River. At 8am, a diver with the Nashville Fire Department found Mumaw's body.
Glisson was able to get out of her car and swim to a riverbank. She was taken to a medical center and detained. She's now under investigation and could face criminal charges.
Mumaw leaves behind his fiance and her daughter.
