Did Huffington Post Predict The Oscar Flub

This is sooo bizarre. So, last night after the Oscars, I laid down to go to bed and started scrolling through my socials to see what everyone was saying about it. And I came across this Facebook Post from Huffington Post Weird News:

Mistakes happen, but what if it happened at the Oscars?

Posted by HuffPost Weird News on Sunday, February 26, 2017

I looked a the time stamp on it and it was posted at 5:09am on Sunday. Like, did they know this was going to happen? If so, how? Is Miss Cleo employed by Huffington Post.

In the article, Huffington Post talks to Brian Cullinan and Martha Ruiz, who supervise procedures and asked what would actually happen if someone announced the wrong winner name on stage. They said,

“We would make sure that the correct person was known very quickly,” Cullinan said. “Whether that entails stopping the show, us walking onstage, us signaling to the stage manager — that’s really a game-time decision, if something like that were to happen. Again, it’s so unlikely.”

Unlikely? Not so unlikely anymore!
