Congrats to Murray, the cute little dachshund that won the Huntsville Havoc's 7th annual Wiener Dog race.
His owner Peyton Wilbanks says, "I've always thought he was abnormally fast for a wiener dog." But just last month, Murray didn't even want to move.
Payton said Murray stopped playing and started laying down all the time, so Payton took his pup to the vet. There they found out Murray had Parvo, a disease found in dogs and cats and has a 91% fatality rate.
After four days of staying at the vet, Murray was allowed to go home and after about a week he started feeling better.
Now he's back to his old self and even won the race and $200 worth of pet supplies and toys. Way to go Murray!
