1st Annual Turkey Pardon | November 25th | Burritt on the Mountain

Kick off your Thanksgiving Break at Burritt on the Mountain on November 25th from 11am to 1pm

Come celebrate the beautiful Wild Turkey. Join Special guests Dingo of 102.1 WDRM Morning Show, District 2 Council Member Frances Akridge and DJ Steve Metz of Metropolitan Disc Jockey. Join Mr. Tom Turkey for a Turkey Trot Parade around Burritt Green and Historic Park. Enjoy hot chocolate, a holiday snack and turkey themed crafts.

For years, it has fallen on the President of the United States to “pardon” a specially selected turkey, ensuring it can live out a long and happy life far from the family table. This year District 2 Council Member Frances Akridge, will do the honors for Huntsville and “pardon” 2 very special turkeys visiting from Step By Step Petting Zoo.

The official pardon will take place at 12pm.

The Turkey Pardon will be moved indoors and spaced for social distancing
