Nashville's Tennessean reports "Taylor Swift is giving Country Another Go"

Nashville's newspaper the Tennessean published a story today introducing a track from "Reputation", Taylor Swift's new and almost entirely pop album. She premiered the song called "New Year's Day"  on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.  Now her Nashville based record label, Big Machine has decided to issue the single to Country radio in hopes that she might find some airtime where her career started with "Tim McGraw". It really all comes down to what Country radio listeners think. You'll remember, three years ago, Taylor only managed to climb to #58 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart with "Shake It Off." She did have award winning success this year though at the CMA awards receiving the Song Of the Year CMA for writing the #1 Country hit "Better Man" for Little Big Town.

I'm certain there is a place at Country radio for Taylor when she's really ready to make it her focus. Until then, it's on a song by song basis and my ears tell me, this may not be the one that sends her back to the top of the Country chart but I'd love to know what you think? I'm listening and waiting to hear from you!
