A female mechanic in Philadelphia really nailed it when trying to make women feel more comfortable at her garage – by having it double as a nail salon!

Patrice Banks initially learned auto repair because she felt like male repairmen were taking advantage of her ... which was probably true, since studies show women are overcharged far more often than men. She learned the trade, then opened Girls' Auto Clinic, a business staffed by female mechanics who go through all the details of a repair without any of the mansplaining.

And, as a bonus, customers can get a mani-pedi or a blow-out while having their car worked on. (Woman's Day)
