Scientists at the University of Oxford have discovered that the key for keeping friendships alive is different for men and women.
While women are fine with long phone conversations, guys need to meet up face-to-face and bond over activities, like going to sporting events or playing cards.
The researchers also found that women have more intense close friendships, which are very like romantic relationships. If these relationships break, it’s bad news for all involved.
On the other hand, men have more casual friendships. Guys just need a group to do stuff with. And, when that group is out of sight, they’re also out of mind. (The Guardian)
