A surprising new study found that men and women get different results when going through job training programs.

The study – which lasted 10 years – concluded that women are helped in a big way by job training. They end up getting higher paying jobs with more job satisfaction.

Guys, on the other hand, don’t do so well. Many men who go through these programs end up not getting the jobs they want and actually have to deal with lower self-esteem.

The researchers believe this is due to the expectations men have about their careers. Guys tend to have higher expectations for their work lives. So when they don’t achieve the way they think they’re supposed to, they get down on themselves. (MarketWatch)
