Over the last 59 years, NASA has flown more than 50 women into space. While that might seem like a reasonable number, it’s important to remember that NASA has also flown hundreds of men over the same time period.
This isn’t good – for reasons other than equality.
Scientists say that more women need to go to space in order to study how they respond physically and mentally to the challenges of zero gravity.
More of these studies need to be conducted on both men and women if we ever want to colonize a planet like Mars. (Gizmodo)
