NEW COMPUTER CAN PREDICT YOUR ODDS OF DYING

A university in Australia has developed an artificial intelligence system that is better at detecting disease than doctors are.

Researchers at the University of Adelaide put together this system which analyzes medical scans for things like emphysema, an enlarged heart or problems like blood clotting – and then predicts whether the patient will die within five years.

Amazingly, the system is 69% accurate, which is pretty much the same result actual human doctors get. (Engadget)
