According to government statistics, young men are working less -- and many economists believe it's because of video games. They point out that young guys now spend many more hours goofing off with games than in the past. And, as they spend more time gaming, they also suffer in the labor market from declining work hours and wages that haven’t been rising.
While this sounds bad, it actually might not be too terrible. It seems that as young guys are working less, earning less and spending more time gaming, their satisfaction with life has been rising. They’re not crushing it in the corporate world, but they’re happy.
