When the San Diego Chargers moved to Los Angeles in the off-season, 35-year-old quarterback Philip Rivers had a big decision to make. Should he move his family – which includes eight kids – to Los Angeles, or should he just drive the two hours from San Diego to Los Angeles each day.
He ended up deciding to not uproot his family – and instead chose to get on the freeway each and every workday.
But don’t feel too bad for the guy. He’ll be traveling in style in a giant SUV that he tricked out with comfortable chairs and big flat screen TV.
The $200,000 SUV is actually a fancy film room so he can study game film on the road, which will make his long commute at least somewhat productive. (San Diego Union-Tribune)
