The above display can be found in Ballplay (so named because of the Native Americans who would settle disputes or arguments by playing ball centric games. Think Lacrosse.) which is located in Etowah County. The Gilley family are the owners of this display which has been put up every year since the mid-80's.
J.C. Gilley started the tradition by using mechanical displays that use parts that can come from anywhere. Like one machine that runs on the motor of an ice cream maker. J.C. passed away in 2002 but his family still honors his memory by continuing the display.
The show has been on for 6 season and the Gilley families win earned them $50,000. Which will probably go towards their light bill.
