"A Dog's Purpose" gets boycotted over video

When I saw the trailer for "A Dog's Purpose" I immediately knew it would be a movie that would make me cry. You can just tell! So I was on the fence about seeing it just because I didn't feel like a good ugly cry at the time.

Now, however, a video has surfaced that has animal lovers up in arms and vowing to boycott the film.

In the video, a German Shepherd is seen being forced into turbulent water.

He doesn't want to go and is eventually shoved in. After hanging onto the side of the pool, he eventually loses his grip and soon after ends up underwater briefly.

Someone can be heard yelling "cut" as the trainer goes for the dog.

A representative from the American Humane Society who was on the film set to ensure no animals would be harmed has been suspended.

In a statement to TMZ, Amblin Partners and Universal Pictures said they had seen the video and would look into the incident.
