23rd Annual Riverfest benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters

Plenty of barbecue and music will be on the agenda September 15th - 16th  in Decatur, AL. when Riverfest returns to the banks of the Tennessee River.  A two day event hosted by, Big Brothers Big Sisters, attracts pitmasters from across the country for some fiery barbecue competition. Riverfest offers a weekend of live music, family fun and games all while raising money for the local Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Riverfest is recognized by the State of Alabama as an official State Barbecue Championship competition and is sanctioned by, and conducted under, the rules of the Kansas City Barbecue Society.  Competing for prize money and trophies the BBQ cook-off is open to professional and amateur teams.

Along with the barbecue cook-off and music, there are also food vendors offering barbecue and other traditional festival food.
