MDA Walk

MDA

MDA Muscle Walk is a meaningful way for families, friends, neighbors and local businesses in North Alabama to come together and show support for area MDA families. This year’s walk includes a route designed for participants of all ages and abilities, including a wheelchair and equipment-friendly course.

The event is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 27th at Ditto Landing. To register, visit www.musclewalkmda.org/huntsville or call the local MDA office at 205.823.8191.

“MDA families count on us to give them strength, find answers and turn hope into action for these life-threatening diseases,” said Fundraising Coordinator, Shaylee Beck.

Funds raised through 2018 MDA Muscle Walk of Huntsville help support MDA’s nationwide network of state-of-the-art support groups and clinics, including multiple MDA Care Centers at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and groundbreaking research. They also make MDA summer camp possible for more than 60 local kids to live without barriers and experience the best week of the year at Camp ASCCA – all at no cost to their families.

About MDA            MDA is leading the fight to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases that take away physical strength, independence and life. We use our collective strength to help kids and adults live longer and grow stronger by finding research breakthroughs across diseases; caring for individuals from day one; and empowering families with services and support in hometowns across America.
