Keith Urban is gearing up for the release of his new album, The Speed Of Now Part 1, due out on September 18. The country star has already shared several songs from the project and this Friday (August 28), he plans to share another with fans called "Tumbleweed."
The country star turned to Instagram on Wednesday (August 26) to share a teaser clip which gives a glimpse at the upbeat tune of the song. "Tumbleweed, Tumbleweed, I’ll roll with you, you roll with me..." Urban wrote alongside the video, adding, "TUMBLEWEED FRIDAY."
Stay tuned to hear the full song arriving on Friday (August 28).
Earlier this month, Urban revealed the complete track listing along with the names of collaborators on the album. Breland and Nile Rodgers will join Urban on the very first track on the album called "Out The Cage," while Pink has a duet with the country star on "One Too Many." Fellow country singer, Eric Church, will also appear on the album for their previously released "We Were" duet.
"When I collaborate, I’m always looking for that 'third thing,'" Urban said in a statement. "There’s what I do, there’s what my collaborator does, and then there’s this 'third thing' that I’m most curious about. That’s what interests me the most — when the sum of the parts becomes even more than what I envisioned. That’s what I love so much about it — finding common ground, shaping it and bringing it together."
"Tumbleweed" won't be the first song fans are hearing from Urban's new album. The country star has already released several other tracks including "Change Your Mind," "God Whispered Your Name," "Polaroid," "Superman" and two versions of his 2019 single "We Were." A full track list can be seen here.
The Speed of Now Part 1 is Urban's 11th studio album and follows up 2018's Graffiti U. The 16-track project is due out on September 18.
