Man Allegedly Blasted 'Cops' Theme Song After Southwest Florida Street Race

A man allegedly blasted the "Cops" TV show theme song from his speakers after he was pulled over for street racing in Southwest Florida, ClickOrlando reported.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, deputies saw a red Ford Mustang and a silver Infiniti slow roll past them on U.S. 41 North last Wednesday night (December 2). Authorities said the passenger of the Mustang, Arlington Joel Aguilar Hernandez, then leaned out the window and yelled “20 roll on three." That means to start racing at 20 mph, deputies said.

Records show Hernandez allegedly counted to three. The Mustang and Infiniti stopped at a red light and slammed on the gas when the light turned green. Deputies said the drivers were going 80 mph to 95 mph in a 55 mph zone

"Records show both vehicles were pulled over nearby and when the 19-year-old Infiniti driver Oscar Manuel Llera Iturralde was told the reason for the traffic stop, he exclaimed, 'What,'" reporters said. Then Llera Iturralde started blasting “Bad Boys” by Inner Circle, the theme song to the TV show Cops.

The Infiniti driver and the driver of the Mustang, Jose Luis Ramirez-Sanchez, were charged with racing on a public highway. Aguilar Hernandez is accused of knowingly riding as a passenger and coordinating a race between vehicles.
