Reba McEntire posted an epic throwback photo with Dolly Parton to pay tribute to an unforgettable milestone that happened a dozen years ago. The “Fancy” superstar reflected on her induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee.

McEntire wrote in her Instagram caption that it was “12 years ago this week (that) one of my dreams came true when I got to join the [Country Music Hall of Fame] and one of my heroes, [Dolly Parton] was there to induct me!”

Parton was there for McEntire’s induction in 2011. The McAlester, Oklahoma native earned her spot in the legendary Hall of Fame after releasing classic singles and iconic country anthems throughout her decades-long career. McEntire is best known for smash-hits like “Fancy,” “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia,” “Is There Life Out There,” “Does He Love You” — which McEntire reimagined with Parton in 2021 — “Walk On” and “I’m A Survivor,” among many others.

“I’m trying to sing songs for women, to say for them what they can’t say for themselves,” McEntire is quoted saying on her Country Music Hall of Fame induction page. “But I’m trying to do it for the eighties and nineties.”
