Morgan Wallen abruptly departed the "Saturday Night Live" stage on Saturday (March 29), leaving fans puzzled.

According to Men's Journal, this is the first time the "Somebody's Problem" hitmaker appeared on "SNL" since being "disinvited from the show for breaking safety protocols at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic" in 2020.

Wallen was the musical guest on the latest episode of the comedy sketch series, and performed "Just In Case," released last week, and the title track off his forthcoming album, I'm The Problem, slated for release this May. The country crooner's performance went off without a hitch, but his untimely exit from the show left viewers with questions.

The guest host and musical performer typically celebrate with the rest of the crew after signing off, but Wallen decided to walk out early. Guest host and Anora star Mikey Madison thanked the "7 Summers" star for appearing on the show and the two hugged before Wallen left the stage instead of saying goodbye to everyone else.

Fans commented on the star's abrupt exit, revealing they'd never seen anything like it in "SNL" history.

"Hmm, so having never missed an episode of SNL in decades, Morgan Wallen giving a quick wave, then walking off the stage during goodbyes was odd," one viewer wrote, in addition to another who mirrored their reaction.

"Wow, Morgan Wallen just walking off the stage during the credits? In decades of watching SNL, I don't think I've ever seen that."

Men's Journal mentioned that hours later, Wallen posted a story of himself leaving New York City on a plane with the caption, "Get me to God’s country."

Speculations regarding whether the "Last Night" sensation got along with the cast circulated following his unusual exit. Wallen nor the "SNL" cast have yet to comment on the abrupt moment.
