Old Dominion revealed long-awaited details about the bandâs upcoming studio record on Monday (June 2).
The history-making group â made up of Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung, and Brad Tursi â will release their sixth studio album this summer. The 13-track project, Barbara, will follow Meat and Candy (2015), Happy Endings (2017), Old Dominion (2019), Time, Tequila & Therapy (2021) and Memory Lane (2023). Old Dominion posted the upcoming albumâs cover art on Instagram. A quote in the caption reads:
âBut when we write for Old Dominion, especially this time, weâre bringing more of ourselves into the room. These are our songs, so they should be pulled from our lives. You donât realize as youâre writing necessarily, but when we listened to these 13 songs, we all realized: itâs our most personal record ever.â
Barbara includes âMaking Good Timeâ and âMe Most Nights,â which Old Dominion released in February and April, respectively. The the reigning Country Music Association Vocal Group of the Year and Academy of Country Music Group of the Year also shared a few sneak peeks of unreleased tracks on social media, including âWater My Flowers,â which they confirmed will make its debut on Friday (June 6). Barbara will arrive on August 22.
