Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson and Ashley McBryde are part of a historic Academy of Country Music Awards category at the 58th annual show.
The Academy announced nominees on Thursday morning (April 13), and noted that this is only the second time in ACM history that the Album of the Year category includes three albums released by all-female acts nominated in the same year. The last time that happened — for the first time — was in 1999. That year, the category included Faith by Faith Hill, I’m Alright by Jo Dee Messina, and Wide Opens Spaces by The Chicks (The Chicks won the category that year). Here are the Album of the Year nominees at the 58th annual ACM Awards:
Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville — Ashley McBryde
Bell Bottom Country — Lainey Wilson
Growin’ Up — Luke Combs
Palomino — Miranda Lambert
Mr. Saturday Night — Jon Pardi
Dolly Parton is set to return to co-host this year’s show, this time with Garth Brooks. The 58th ACM Awards will take place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. It’s set for Thursday, May 11 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT/5 p.m. PT. See the full list of 58th annual ACM Awards nominees here.
